Step by step guide on how to try out Port Finance

Open Web App

Open Port Finance home page from your browser and click the "Go to App" button on the top right.

Create and Connect Your Test Net Wallet

If you already have a Solana Test Net wallet, please jump to the next section. However, if you don't have one yet or want to start fresh, please follow the steps below to create a new "Sollet" Test Net wallet.

1) Click the "Connect" button on the top right.

2) Click the "Sollet" button on the top-up modal

3) Download the backup Mnemonic file and use "Ctrl+C" to copy your seed words, which will be needed for the next step

3) Paste (or re-enter) your seed words in the confirmation pop-up

4) Choose a password which you will need to enter each time when you access your wallet (feel free to skip for TestNet wallets)

5) Finish wallet creation and connect to it. Given this is for testing and tutorial purposes, you can enable automatic approval, which grants Port Finance the privillage to send instructions to Solana Test Net without having to check with you each time.

Deposit

To use Port Finance (whether you want to earn interest or borrow), you must deposit fund from your wallet. Example steps below will guide you through the process of transferring SRM from your Test Net wallet into Port Finance liquidity pool. Funds in liquidity pool will generate interest until they are withdrawn.

1) Click "Deposit" on the left navigation bar to view the supported assets.

2) Select an asset with a positive balance (SRM) and click the "Deposit" button under the "Action" column.

3) Enter the amount you want to transfer from your Test Net wallet and click "Deposit".

Collateral

You can turn your deposited funds into borrowing power by converting them into collaterals. Example steps below will guide you through the process of converting part of your SRM deposit into collateral.

1) Click "Collateral" on the left navigation bar to view the supported assets.

2) Select an asset with a positive deposit (SRM) and click the "Add Collateral" button under the "Action" column.

3) Enter the amount you want to transfer from your deposited fund and click "Add Collateral".

Borrow

With the borrowing power from your collaterals, you can now borrow assets. Example steps below will guide you through the process of borrowing SOL.

1) Click "Borrow" on the left navigation bar to view the supported assets.

2) Select the asset you want to borrow (SOL) and click the "Borrow" button under the "Action" column.

3) Enter the amount you want to borrow and click "Borrow"

4) Click "Dashboard" on the left navigation bar and view your deposits and loans
